If you’re wondering where you can buy a Brink’s home security system, STOP 🙂 – Brink’s is no more. They were overtaken by ADT a few years ago and they operate under ADT now. However, I highly recommend you NOT to get an ADT security system AT ALL. There are much better companies out there today. It’s not the 90’s anymore.

Get a Frontpoint system. It has all the bells and whistles ADT doesn’t and includes smartphone control, home automation plus good ol’ alarm monitoring and security.

The best part however is the customer service. Frontpoint has a pretty good reputation when it comes to customer service. This is one area where almost ALL companies have a hard time excelling at. And I guess the reviews floating around the internet speak for themselves. I did a quick search on Google for reviews on security companies and Frontpoint pretty much was getting all the five stars.

So I’ve put together a list of bullet points here briefly covering what Frontpoint offers. Let me tell you know that their equipment of choice is GE Security (which is a solid system by the way) and it is wireless, contains a mini cell phone to dial the police cellularly and can be controlled via an iPhone, Android, Windows or BlackBerry app. Here’s the run down:

1. Self Install: So no installation costs. You can set the system up yourself in as little as 20 minutes. No drilling involved either. It’s all peel and stick and wire-LESS.

2. Smartphone Apps: Through their app, you can enable/disable the system through the push of a button on your touchscreen, get instant notification about activity in your home, view past alarm history, video footage and still camera clips, and if you’ve opted for home automation, you can also control your lights, thermostat, etc.

3. Delivery: Free via Fedex

So there’s a basic run down. For more information on their packages and pricing you should go ahead and give them a call or visit their website. They’ll customize a system specifically for your home. Their number is 1-866-363-2035.
